Wound Care At Home ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through woundcareathome.co, how we use it, and your choices.

This is our website privacy policy. It is a separate document from our Notice of Privacy Practices, which describes how we handle protected health information for patients under HIPAA. To request a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices, contact us using the details below.

Information We Collect

When you submit our Request a Call form, we collect:

Your name
Your phone number
ZIP code
Your relationship to the patient
Where the patient is currently staying (home, assisted living, skilled nursing facility, or hospital)
The patient’s insurance plan
Preferred callback time
Preferred language, if you tell us
Your consent to be contacted by phone or text

We also record an advertising click identifier if you arrived here from one of our ads. This is a code that Google or Microsoft adds to the web address; it lets us tell which ad brought you here. It is stored in your browser for the length of your visit and submitted with your form. It does not identify you by name and it is not sent back to Google or Microsoft.

We do not ask for wound descriptions, diagnoses, treatment history, or any other clinical detail through this website, and there is no free-text box where such information could be entered. The questions about the patient’s location and insurance are there so we can tell you quickly whether we are able to help. Anything clinical we will discuss with you directly by phone.

Cookies and Website Tracking

This website uses two advertising measurement tags: the Microsoft Advertising UET tag and the Google Ads tag. Both tell us whether a visit to this site followed one of our ads, and whether that visit resulted in a call or a callback request. Each sets a cookie in your browser and reports your IP address, page address, and general device information to Microsoft and Google respectively.

We use these only to measure whether our advertising is working. We do not use them to build profiles based on health conditions, we do not run retargeting or remarketing campaigns, and we do not use session recording, heatmaps, or any technology that replays what you do on this page.

Nothing you enter in the form is transmitted to Microsoft, Google, or any advertising platform. The tags report only that a form was submitted — not what was in it. We have also chosen not to enable the features these platforms offer that would send us your contact details in hashed form for ad matching, so the name, phone number, and insurance information you enter in our form are not shared with either advertising platform.

This site also loads fonts hosted by Google, which means your browser makes a request to Google servers when the page loads. That request includes your IP address.

If you prefer not to be measured this way, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's tracking-prevention feature, or opt out through Microsoft's advertising opt-out page at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings and Google's ad settings at myadcenter.google.com. Blocking either will not affect your ability to use this site, submit the form, or call us.

Text Messaging

If you consent to text messages, we may send you messages about scheduling and follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving services.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may share it with the licensed medical practice that delivers clinical care, and with other healthcare providers and staff directly involved in evaluating or delivering your care, and with service providers who help us operate this website and our communications, under written agreements requiring them to protect it.

Email Communication

Standard email is not a fully secure method of communication. If you email us medical information, you do so at your own discretion. We will respond in a manner appropriate to the information you send, and we can arrange a phone call instead if you prefer.

Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information you provide, both in transit and in storage. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by contacting us using the details below. You may also ask us to stop contacting you.
